What’s wrong with male artists?
Nothing! We just t̶h̶i̶n̶k̶ know that there's more room for women at the forefront of the art world. Under-representation of female artists has been an issue for a long time. Check out the stats from the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Yikes. Collective 131 is female-founded, so this issue is very important to us.
I’m an artist. Can I sell my work through your site?

I love your mission, but I’m new to collecting art. Any tips?
We believe you should buy art that you love and want to hang on your walls. Collective 131 is all about transparency and making art accessible, which is why you can buy directly through the site. However, please email us if you have any questions or concerns before you buy anything! Check out our blog post for more tips on art collecting!
What are the shipping fees and when will I receive my purchased artwork?
Shipping costs depend on the size of the work and where it's going. You can see the price under once you enter your location on the check-out page. We try to keep our shipping fees minimal so that you can acquire the piece that you want! You can expect work to be shipped within 1-2 weeks. We will always provide you with a timeline and a tracking number. Please note that we require a signature upon delivery. If there's ever a problem, we're here.
Some paintings are considered “oversize,” and the shipping fees for those works need to be calculated offline. We like to be transparent about our fees, so please email us before you purchase so that we can give you an accurate quote. If you go ahead with the purchase here, the shipping will show up as $0, but you will be responsible for the shipping fees later. Thank you for your understanding!
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! There are just a couple of extra steps. You must inquire with us first, as you won't be able to check out through the website. From there, we will provide you with a shipping quote. There's more to take into account when shipping overseas, such as customs regulations, size, and weight limitations. Please know that you may be responsible for VAT depending on your country's rules.
Is framing included?
We are excited to partner with Framebridge for your framing needs! If you are interested in having a work framed, please shoot us an email and we will get back to you with a quote. Please know that framing will cost extra, and will not be a part of the checkout process here. Once you approve on the framing quote, we will arrange everything and you can pay us directly.
Do you accept returns?
Because these are unique works, we do not accept returns.
What happens if a work arrived damaged?
Hopefully this won't happen, but we can't control everything. Let us know ASAP about the damage and we will work together to make it right.
I don’t identify as a woman. Should I/Can I buy artwork here?
Yes and yes! Art is for everyone. Collective 131 is not about alienating men. In fact, we would love your support. It's important that all people see the importance in diversifying their collection. If you have more questions, please ask! We are happy to discuss our mission and how you fit into it.
What does “Collective 131” mean, anyway?
131 is the apartment number where this idea was born. “Collective” came up as alternative to “gallery,” because we transcend the typical gallery model. Everyone behind Collective 131 is united in our mission.
